CanAdapt Network Manager with a passion for advancing climate change adaptation knowledge, skills and capacity among practitioners across all sectors and regions.

About

With a foundational background in climate change and environmental studies, complemented by a Master of Climate Change and a Bachelor of Environmental Studies from the University of Waterloo, I bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the field of climate adaptation. My primary areas of expertise include capacity building, vulnerability and risk assessments, outreach and engagement, along with research, writing, and analysis across various sectors, actors, and regions within Canada.

In my role as a Network Manager for CanAdapt, I have over 10 years of experience in managing and facilitating online communities of practice, emphasizing the importance of collaboration and shared knowledge among climate change practitioners. This role has allowed me to lead significant projects, such as analyzing the drivers, enablers, and barriers in adaptation implementation, which are critical to understanding and navigating the complex landscape of climate change adaptation.

I offer support to practitioners and decision-makers working to advance climate change adaptation planning, ensuring that they have the tools, knowledge, and network necessary to effect meaningful change. My comprehensive experience and dedication to the field position me as a valuable resource in the pursuit of sustainable and effective climate change solutions.
