CanAdapt Course Portal Manager | Upskilling for Climate Action

About

With a specialized focus on climate action upskilling and innovative pedagogies, I bring a unique blend of experience and passion to the forefront of climate education and capacity building. My background as the former Director of the Centre for Teaching and Educational Technologies, combined with six years dedicated to climate action capacity building, has equipped me with deep insights and a solid grounding in both the theoretical and practical aspects of climate education.

I offer a range of services aimed at enhancing climate action readiness through targeted course design on climate action topics, alongside conducting dynamic workshops and webinars. These engagements are tailored to explore the future of work with a crucial climate lens, addressing both current challenges and future opportunities in a rapidly changing world.

A cornerstone of my professional journey has been leading the Adaptation Learning Network, a pivotal project funded by Natural Resources Canada from 2019 to 2023. This initiative, operated out of the Resilience by Design Lab at Royal Roads University, underscores my commitment to advancing climate adaptation learning and resilience building across a variety of sectors.

My work is driven by a passion for empowering individuals and organizations to not only understand the implications of climate change but to also take actionable steps towards sustainable and resilient futures. I am dedicated to fostering a deepened awareness and practical skills necessary for confronting climate change head-on, informed by the latest research, innovative pedagogical approaches, and a forward-thinking perspective.
