About

As the Executive Director of CanAdapt, I draw on my backgrounds in software development and community leadership to steer the CanAdapt network to supporting resilient communities in the face of climate change.

As the cofounder of Climate Caucus, I led a nation-wide network of Canadian mayors and councillors to accelerate community-scale climate action.

As the current board chair of of the Community Energy Association, I help guide efforts to bring sustainable energy solutions to communities.

As a city councillor in Nelson, BC, I support community-level initiatives and local governance, providing on-the-ground insights into the challenges and opportunities in implementing low-carbon resilience strategies.

I am passionately dedicated to building effective communities of practice and peer networks. My mission is to support society's adaptation to the evolving needs of the future, focusing on inclusivity, innovation, and sustainability. As a leader, I aim not only to inspire but also to cultivate the skills and knowledge necessary for us all to thrive in an ever-changing world.

In addition to my leadership roles, I am deeply committed to consulting with network leaders to build stronger, more dynamic peer networks and communities of practice.

I specialize in fostering collaboration among diverse stakeholders, creating environments encouraging innovation, and developing strategies leading to meaningful, sustainable change.

My passion lies in empowering networks to operate more effectively, adapting to challenges with resilience and forward-thinking. By sharing my knowledge and experiences, I help leaders and communities not only navigate the complexities of today’s climate concerns but also anticipate and prepare for the needs of tomorrow.
